Good afternoon, my reader. Not all house flowers are unpretentious and do not require special attention. It takes a lot of work to grow a beautiful and flowering plant. Therefore, we do not advise beginners to start breeding these 8 representatives of the flora world.

Roses

Some gardeners believe that since the rose grows well on the site, it will not be difficult to transfer it in a pot to a home environment. But more often than not, nothing good comes of this venture. Too many nuances must be observed in terms of care and development.

IMPORTANT! Purchased roses cannot be immediately transplanted into another container. They need to be given a few weeks to acclimatize.

To speed up the acclimatization process:

  • tear off all buds and flowers;
  • treat the leaves and stems with soapy water;
  • run a contrasting rose shower a couple of times for five to ten minutes.

When replanting, do not remove the peat ball from the roots, otherwise the plant will not receive enough moisture. In indoor conditions, the rose is suitable for a temperature of 25 degrees and shelter from direct sunlight. Watering should be done regularly, but moisture stagnation should not be allowed.

Azalea

When buying indoor azalea varieties, make sure that all the buds are open, because in most cases they will not open. The optimal temperature regime is 15 - 18 degrees, but some varieties grow and develop well at 3 degrees.

Azaleas grow well in acidic soil, they need to be watered regularly with acidified water. To do this, you can dissolve a small amount of citric acid in it.

If your azalea grows at a temperature of 14 degrees and above, then you need to extend the daylight hours to 12 hours using fluorescent lamps.

Juniper

At home, only the Chinese variety is grown, because it grows slowly. For its successful growth and development, the following conditions must be met:

  • Plant in a ceramic or porcelain pot.
  • Mix the soil from sand, peat and earth.
  • Be sure to shade from the sun's rays.
  • In summer, the temperature should not exceed 25 degrees, and in winter 13 degrees.
  • Do not place the juniper pot in a draft.
  • In the summer, you need to water every day, and in the winter, once a month.

Exotic Strelitzia

It is almost impossible to provide natural conditions for strelitzia at home. She loves very bright light, but the plant needs to be adapted to it gradually. In the summer, you need to periodically remove the flower pot in the shade, observe the temperature regime not lower than 12 degrees, but not higher than 24. The leaves should always be sprayed, the soil should always be kept moist, but without stagnant water.

Dieffenbachia

This plant must be watered abundantly, otherwise the roots will begin to rot. If you leave the plant in a draft, the leaves will curl up. To prevent this from happening, keep the temperature at least 20 degrees Celsius.

IMPORTANT! Dieffenbachia does not hibernate in a dormant state, therefore, a temperature drop to 7 degrees is unacceptable.

In summer, you need to water once a day, in winter, once a week is enough.

Guzmania

This plant is an epiphyte, that is, it lives on other plants and does not need soil. It may die after flowering, because what many take for a flower is actually the leaves of the bracts.

If you nevertheless decide to have this particular flower, then get special soil and good drainage. Guzmania feels good with diffused lighting and a temperature of 20 degrees. You only need to water the color outlet.
