But many are wondering what January 2020 will be like.

January in different regions of Russia

The weather is expected to be very different. Almost everywhere, temperature indicators will be on average one degree higher than the average long-term value. Only in Chukotka it is expected to be one degree lower.

When it comes to Moscow and the Moscow region, in the first ten days of the month there will be light frost and snow, a predominance of zero temperature with small fluctuations in both directions. The second decade was marked by a sharp cooling down to -19... -26 ° С, then the thermometer readings will return to their previous values. Heavy snowfalls are not expected. In addition, a weak snow cover will quickly be compressed under the influence of warming.

But according to Lyudmila Parshina, who heads the laboratory of the Hydrometeorological Center, in January it will not be too cold in Moscow. Temperature readings will be higher than normal by only one degree.

In the southern regions, the eastern part of the Central Organ, the Volga region and the Urals (excluding the Chelyabinsk region), warmer than usual weather is predicted. The Amur Region, Khabarovsk Territory, the northern part of Siberia and the western part of Yakutia - here temperature indicators are also expected to be slightly higher than usual.

However, in Kemerovo, Novosibirsk and Omsk regions, in Altai and Tuva it will be colder than the locals are used to. Severe frosts are expected on the Chukchi Peninsula, in northeastern Yakutia and in the continental part of Magadan.

Residents of the west of the Murmansk and Leningrad regions, the northern and southwestern parts of Karelia will also have to endure lower temperatures.

Hydrometeorological Center predicts warming in January from Chita to Khabarovsk

January in Transbaikalia is predicted to be clear and sunny. In Chita, the night temperature is within -22... 24 ° C, during the day it rises to -10... -12 ° C. But from mid-January it will become 8-10 degrees warmer.

In Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, January is dry almost until the end of the month. In the southeastern regions of the Far East, the anticyclone will dominate for almost a month.

According to Gismeteo's forecast, there is hope that a classic winter with snow and frost will come to the central regions. But Phobos is in no hurry to reassure with the promise of a real winter in the Black Earth Region and the south of Russia.

But the Hydrometeorological Center has already announced the return of cold weather to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Novosibirsk and Omsk. But the forecast does not predict stability. And from the second Sunday warming to -1... 0 ° C with a blizzard is expected.

So, January 2020 will be the coldest for Kamchatka, marked by frosts in the north of the European part of Russia, in the Urals and in Western Siberia. But the residents of Yakutia are lucky - here January promises to be warmer than usual.
