Consider a recipe for a turkey stuffed with dried fruits. Required Ingredients:

  • rice - 1 glass;
  • shelled walnuts - 0.5 kg;
  • peeled apples - 0.5 kg;
  • prunes - 0.5 kg;
  • sour cream - 1 glass;
  • salt - a pinch;
  • butter - half tsp l .;
  • mayonnaise - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • ground black pepper.

  • Inspect the bird, remove all unnecessary: ​​feathers, hemp, entrails.
  • Rinse rice and prunes thoroughly. Put the prunes in a separate container and fill with water so that it covers the dried fruit by 0.5-1 cm.
  • Cut walnuts and apples into medium pieces of any shape. Optionally, you can skip these products through a meat grinder.
  • Drain all the water from the prunes. Put it in a deep container, add rice, apples and nuts to it. Salt the entire filling.
  • Fill the turkey cavity with the filling, tamping slightly.
  • Sew up the bird with a thick culinary or ordinary thread.
  • Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil, then put the bird on it.
  • Add a pinch of salt, pepper, mayonnaise and butter to a glass of sour cream. Spread the mixture over the whole turkey. This will give the future dish a golden brown crust.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and carefully load the turkey baking sheet into it.
On average, a turkey cooks for 2.5 hours. You do not need to turn the bird over while cooking. Periodically, you need to pierce the meat with a long wooden skewer. If, when pricked, clear transparent juice flows out of the meat, it is ready. If it is cloudy and pinkish, then bake further. Fat is released from the turkey during cooking. It needs to be carefully scooped up with a spoon and poured over the carcass.

Put the finished dish on a beautiful dish. Remove all threads. As a decoration, line the bird with thin slices of salted or fresh cucumbers and lemon. Put a small bunch of parsley or dill on top. The roasted turkey can be served as a stand-alone dish or as a side dish.
