Runny is easily recognizable by its narrow, pointed leaves and snow-white umbrella-shaped flower stalks blooming in June. The period of fruiting and active spread of seeds falls on August. The weed actively grows in height, usually reaching 60-80 cm, but sometimes up to one meter.
The root system of a plant is creeping and deeply penetrating into the soil, therefore it quickly spreads and drowns out cultivated plants with lush thickets, causing a lot of trouble for gardeners. In combination with frost resistance, rapid growth, unpretentiousness and longevity, the plant can well be attributed to weeds that grow uncontrollably in the garden.
To combat this weed, you can try to dig up all the roots of the plant. In this case, you need to be sure that no parts of the root system remain in the ground. With enough diligence, you can try to deplete the rhizomes of the dream. To do this, you need to regularly remove all emerging sprouts. To prevent the ingress of snow from the neighboring plot, you need to dig in the garden tape around the perimeter. The depth must be at least 30 cm.
The most effective way is to use herbicides. It should be understood that this is a very hardy plant, so you will have to process it regularly throughout the season. Each time, the concentration of chemicals should increase.
To prevent the future spread of the weed on the site, you need to immediately remove the dug rhizomes and cut umbrellas. They do not need to be sent to ripen in compost heaps. For overheating, use airtight containers.
You can also pour water over the water and add a little manure. After a couple of weeks, this water is suitable for use as a green supplement.
As a food plant
The leaves of this plant contain a large amount of vitamins, vegetable protein, which is easily absorbed by the body, iron and many other useful microelements.
Dried and crushed leaves are often used as a seasoning, and fresh ones are used in salads, added to soups, salted, stewed, added to omelets, meat is stewed with them, etc.
As an ornamental plant
There is a decorative variegated variety of this plant, which perfectly decorates the garden plot. It is a ground cover species that is short and has white-green leaves. They are arranged in complex tiers.
This type of dreaming can live for several decades. It tolerates frost and shade well, so it does not require any maintenance. The only drawback is that this plant grows very quickly and multiplies by self-seeding throughout the site. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of limiting its distribution in advance.
This can be done by growing variegated willow in separate containers or flowerpots. When grown in the ground, the root system is limited with a curb tape or pieces of slate, which are dug in to a depth of 30 cm. It will also be necessary to cut the peduncles in a timely manner. If these conditions are met, the moaning will not spread uncontrollably.
Pieces of rhizome are used for reproduction. They are planted in the chosen place in the autumn or spring. To maintain decorativeness for many years, the bushes need watering, fertile land and periodic formative pruning.
As a fodder plant
Dream greens are often used as livestock feed. It is a fairly nutritious plant that is suitable for feeding pigs, rabbits, sheep and cattle. Although due to the strong smell, some animals may not eat. The culture is added to complementary foods fresh or brewed.
