The Russian aircraft industry has been and remains one of the most advanced in the world. The traditional International Aviation and Space Salon started a few days ago. The event is taking place at Zhukovsky airport. In 2019, this event will also be remembered for the fact that Russia showed on it its newest PJ-II DREAMER aircraft, which is propelled by imperial thrust.
Before us is a two-seat innovative Russian-made PJ-II DREAMER aircraft. The car was created by the DreamerAvia company at the initiative of the Volgograd Aerokoncept LLC. The aircraft is powered by the "Ducted Fan" power plant. Thanks to her, the novelty has almost all the features of piloting a jet engine, a fighter capable of performing various aerobatics.
An interesting fact: the aircraft engine was based on the General Motors LS-6 V8 automobile engine with a return of 388 horsepower and a torque of 5000 rpm. The power plant is located in the center section.
The aircraft presented at the show was assembled using a technology developed in Russia, which makes it possible to create aerodynamically exact copies of aircraft on any scale. It can be applied to both combat fighters and passenger liners. Despite the fact that the vehicle shown was, in fact, a replica, DREAMER successfully completed the flight with two crew members.
The aircraft cockpit is made according to the latest technology and design. Experts praised the novelty for the high degree of convenience and ergonomics. They especially noted the ease of entry and exit from the car. The only thing that the plane does not yet have is the mirrors on the cockpit, for viewing the rear hemisphere during flight. The control stick has a free stroke, the arrangement of the equipment corresponds to that in combat vehicles.

DREAMER showed excellent stability and controllability at all stages of flight. So, during the horizontal movement during the presentation, the car was accelerated to 117-250 km / h. The designers noted that the flight range of the novelty is 1200 km. The takeoff and landing characteristics of the innovative development allow it to be launched from a concrete runway 1300 meters long.
The main question is what exactly the PJ-II DREAMER was created for. The novelty is a civilian commercial vehicle. It can be used for tourism, sports and training flights.
