The duvet cover is the main enemy of all other clothes and items of linen in the washing machine. Each time the same thing - all things are again inside him. Towels, T-shirts, socks, underpants, pillowcases and many other things were again "eaten" by the duvet cover. Surely many housewives are wondering why this is happening and whether it is possible to do something with all this.
Why does small laundry always end up in larger, shaped pockets during washing in the machine? In fact, the answer to this question is quite simple. The fact is that when the drum of the washing machine rotates, several water streams and jets are formed. Some of them are large, others are small. A duvet cover, like the largest thing in a drum, is picked up only by the largest and strongest stream, and all other things "jump" on smaller streams.
The duvet cover moves in the drum much slower than any other things, and sometimes, due to its size, it stops rotating at all, sticking directly to the walls of the drum. Small laundry, on the other hand, shrinks even more during movement, crumples and moves very quickly. Moving along the walls of the drum, sooner or later, it falls into the slot of the duvet cover. And then the "strong circle" starts to work - things that have got inside make the duvet cover heavier and help it catch more and more new items. Later, during the spin cycle, all "eaten" things, in addition to everything else, will twist among themselves.

Note: The worst thing is that due to this situation with the duvet cover, the washing quality is radically reduced.
It is possible to solve this problem, and it is not so difficult. The most obvious thing to do is sew up your duvet cover before putting it into the washing drum. This approach will be the most reliable, but also the most time-consuming. You can also use knitting rubber bands to “tighten” the slit of the duvet cover. You can also use a string in the middle to tighten the duvet cover, which will greatly reduce the amount of linen that gets inside. It is also a good idea to tie the corners of the garment in ponytails. Finally, you can simply buy a special laundry bag and put your duvet cover in it.
