Those who have worked with a welding machine are well aware that this business is far from being as simple as it might seem at first glance. 1. We cook pipes of different diameters at right angles
If we are faced with the task of welding the ends of a thick and thin pipe, then the first thing to do is to using a marker, mark the cutout on the larger pipe corresponding to the diameter of the small pipes.
With the help of a suitable tool, a through slot is made at the end, after which deep longitudinal cuts must be made in the "tails" remaining sticking out.
When all of the above is done, a small-diameter pipe is inserted into the slot, after which the "tails" are bent with hammer blows so as to fix the two pipes.
Welding work is carried out on top of this connection.
2. We bend the U-shaped profile (channel)
If you need to bend the U-shaped profile, the first step is to cut its side at the place of the future bend. Next, two more of the same cuts are made with a step equal to its width.
After that, the profile is turned upside down, the central cut is lengthened to the second sidewall, only after that the diagonal is cut and bent.
3. We connect parts with electric rivets
In order to improve the quality of the joint, it is recommended not to make a continuous seam, but to perform spot welding. For this, at least two holes are made in one of the parts. Then it is applied to the part to be welded, after which welding is performed through the through holes made.
As a result, it has something that looks like rivets.
4. Homemade malka
Malka is a special tool that is used when transferring the angles from one structure to the workpieces being welded. These devices are (as a rule) very flimsy, which means it is best to make them yourself rather than buy them. To do this, you will need two pieces of steel strip, as well as a small steel insert cut from one side at an angle.

This insert is placed between two plates, after which they are welded. After that, a ruler is made from the strip with a longitudinal cut strictly in the middle, which is subsequently used to fix the structure with a bolt and nut.

5. Connecting strip and pipe at right angles
A groove is made in the pipe using a suitable tool (grinder) of the appropriate length and width. Then the strip to be welded is inserted into it. Welding is carried out by the circular welding method. After this, the structure will be very strong and reliable.
