Weapon tuning is primarily associated with the aspirations of designers to make weapons more utilitarian and versatile. However, fighters do not always have the opportunity to get their hands on expensive factory-made accessories. In such cases, they can upgrade their arsenal with the means at hand and available materials.
It may be hard to believe, but the reel from a spinning rod on a grenade launcher is not at all a field creation. some "homeless" partisans from a third world country taking part in the "cold war" between the leading states planets. This development was created in the student design bureau (most likely as an educational work) at the department of small arms and cannon weapons of the Tula State University. This "miracle" is called - the "Trawl" system and it is designed to remove mines and stretch marks.
Today, the Russian army uses several types of sapper kits. The means of manual demining include KR-97 "Blesna", KR-I, KR-O, KR-95. At the same time, all of the above sets are relatively complex, require sapper training, and most importantly, they must be available from a particular unit. Much more often, regular rope with a hook is used to remove stretch marks by regular ground units. Actually, by analogy with this simple device, the Tral system was made.

The principle of operation of the device is extremely simple. The system consists of a coil with a thin metal cable and a metal blank. It is assumed that the blank will be thrown into the area of installation of the stretcher using a shot from a grenade launcher. After that, the metal cable is reeled back, the blank stretches along the ground and triggers the trap. The students also presented a variety of "Trawl" with a cat for grabbing suspicious objects and removing anti-personnel mines. The idea of this system is that, if necessary, it can be made in large quantities in the field workshop by the efforts of the soldiers themselves.
