Many gardeners at least once in their life have come across crooked fruits when harvesting cucumbers. But only few people know that for every uneven, crooked and "hunchbacked" cucumber, there is a simple answer.
1. In the shape of a "light bulb"
If you come across fruits in the shape of a "bulb", then this indicates that there is not enough potassium in the earth. In order to avoid and prevent such a situation, it is necessary to use a special agent, namely potassium sulfate, following the recommendations on the package. As a rule, such dressing is used at the root. There is another option - ash extraction, which is used on the sheet. Important! do not use the ash extract as a root top dressing, it can harm the roots and the plant as a whole.
2. Beak-shaped cucumbers
Many have probably met a fruit that looks like a "beak". This "mutation" indicates a lack of nitrogen. Experts recommend using mullein infusion (in a ratio of 1:10) as a top dressing. Also, bird droppings (in a ratio of 1:20) are a good option for prevention. In addition to all this, you can use nitrate or urea, following the recommendations on the package.
Important! do not forget that all mineral fertilizers are applied only in emergency cases, when it is necessary to urgently correct the current situation. Therefore, you should not abuse them.
3. Dumbbell shaped cucumbers
There are also fruits in the form of a "dumbbell", which indicates a temperature drop during the day and night, or watering with too cold water. To correct (and never repeat) this situation, it is necessary to irrigate with warm water using nitrogen fertilizer of low concentration. And also it is necessary to build a special temporary shelter from the temperature drop.

4. Curled cucumbers
But the curves, swirling fruits indicate a lack of boron. In this case, any boron-containing fertilizers and preparations, including boric acid, are suitable. As a rule, all this should be used as foliar feeding on a leaf.

Important! It is also worth remembering that when growing cucumbers, correct and timely watering plays a major role. With dry and insufficiently moist soil, the fruits will not receive the required amount of useful and nutrients. Accordingly, their lack leads to the above consequences.
