Special forces have always been different from other army units. A specific set of skills and no less interesting weapons are an integral part of their activities. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that the Chinese special forces have knives in their arsenal that, if necessary, can shoot.
The QSB-91 shooting knife was developed in the early 1990s in the PRC, after which it was adopted by the special forces of the People's Liberation Army of China, or the PLA.
In fairness, it is worth noting that this weapon is not the only one of a kind firearms knife. So, for example, the Soviet Union had its counterparts. However, several details set the QSB-91 apart from its counterparts.
First of all, the Chinese shooting knife is a four-shot one. Moreover, this, in fact, did not affect the size of the weapon. In the QSB-91, four 7.62mm rounds are loaded into the knife handle. Accordingly, the shot is fired in the direction along the blade.

The length of the blade of the shooting knife is 14 centimeters, and it is attached to a hollow round handle. Interestingly, the QSB-91 sight is also its fuse.
There are two muzzles on both sides of the blade. To fire, you need to manually cock the striker, and then press the trigger, which is located on the handle and also serves as a limiter. The firing range of the QSB-91 is about ten meters.

Interesting fact: the shooting knife also interacts with its holster. If you insert the pin into the hole on the blade, then it is fashionable to turn the QSB-91 into a side cutter.
The 30th anniversary of the use of the four-shot shooting knife in the PLA is approaching soon. And although the Chinese are reluctant to talk about the QSB-91, and there is still little information about it, we can speak with confidence about its convenience and functionality.
