Oil change is one of the most important in the context of vehicle maintenance. It is especially difficult in this regard when you need to somehow interact with a car purchased in the secondary market. This is because it is almost never clear how the previous owner looked after the car. Including for this reason, the oil should be checked as often as possible; this can be done in the following proven way.
Important: all manipulations must be carried out only on a cold engine!
The described method is simple as fire and as reliable as a Kalashnikov assault rifle. You only need to do a few simple manipulations. With their help, it will be possible to quickly determine what kind of oil was poured into the car engine and how high its quality (its condition is good). For work we need a sheet of paper, preferably A4, and a smartphone.
We approach the car, open the hood. We arm ourselves with a sheet of paper, and then pull out the dipstick to check the oil level. We drip one more or less neat drop onto a clean sheet. It is better to try to make it not too big, otherwise you will have to wait a long enough time. This is because a small drop dries for almost 15 minutes.
There is no need to stand with paper. We put the sheet on a horizontal surface and let the oil soak into the paper (of course, you should choose a surface that will not do little harm). As a result, a characteristic trace should remain, and this is what interests us. Dealing with the drop is easy. In general, the following rule applies here: the lighter and more uniform the stain, the better the lubrication condition.

If the oil has dark areas and (or) inclusions, then it is quite obvious that not everything is okay with it. In any case, it is better to change the lubricant every 10-20 thousand kilometers, depending on the specific machine.
