In order to enjoy the benefits of modern civilization and support his family, its head must work and earn good money. Within the hierarchy of the prestige of blue-collar occupations, the electrician is far from the last.
The "electrician" profession is beneficial in that it allows you to get a good income on the currently fashionable freelance.
This happens for the following reasons:
- the work of an electrician is not available to everyone, because requires serious enough mental effort and good preliminary preparation simply due to the lack of moving elements and the invisible nature of the current;
- a lot of electricians, because it is one of the obligatory engineering systems of a modern apartment, along with plumbing, heating and ventilation;
- any electrical system - an individual project, taking into account, incl. the wishes of the customer and therefore carried out at higher prices.
As a nice bonus, we note that an electrician is predominantly clean work, which, again, does not require significant physical effort.
So how do you manage these initially good starting conditions in order to receive a decent reward for your work?
1. Be not just a performer
Electrical engineering is a science-intensive area of technology and a professional simply must be aware of new products and promising technologies that appear in it. An order made quickly and efficiently includes word of mouth and its analogues immediately. The strength of this provision is further enhanced by the fact that the customer has to let a stranger into the house. Accordingly, in such situations, the recommendation begins to be highly appreciated.
4. Strict planning of working hours and development of personal qualities
The absence of bosses has a relaxing effect on some, which begins to affect the amount of monthly earnings. Taking into account this peculiarity, strict self-control is necessary, the simplest form of which is the independent maintenance of a time schedule, for example, in Excel tables.
In addition to self-discipline, you will also need patience, perseverance, the ability to explain to the customer the disadvantages of the existing project and the advantages of the proposed one, i.e. everything that is necessary when working with people.
You have to be honest and be able to say no. Even such trifles as a neat and clean overalls, shoe covers, cleaning after the completion of installation are beneficial to the master.
5. Professional relations with subcontractors
It is known that a complex project allows you to earn more. Therefore, you always need to have a circle of proven familiar specialists from different fields, whose resources will allow you to get the turnkey result so valued by customers. In addition, the work of an assistant will allow you to quickly master also related specialties.
6. Use of modern information technologies
Being with a computer is valuable not only because it allows you to advertise and search for customers on specialized sites. Many customers now practice a non-cash form of payment. The most widespread system of Sberbank now allows you to almost instantly control the flow of funds to the account.
