Leaving your phone on overnight

Many owners of expensive devices often leave the phone plugged in overnight, not taking into account the limited time required for a full charge. Taking into account that the duration of the charging cycle, as a rule, does not exceed 3-4 hours, the remaining time it will periodically switch to recharge mode. This is due to the fact that the controller built into it is very sensitive to the slightest discharge and during the night it switches back to the active phase several times.

As a result, the rechargeable battery will constantly be in a semi-active state, which affects its performance (the capacity indicator decreases, for example). After a long work in such a "tense" mode, it is unexpectedly discovered that the phone is discharged faster than before. To save yourself from such an unpleasant "surprise" - you will need to strictly follow the rule: disconnect the phone charger from the network immediately after it is charged.

Bringing charge and discharge levels to the limit

According to most experts, it makes no sense to bring a lithium-ion battery to a full state of charge. Some users recommend stopping charging by the time it reaches 90 percent. They are convinced that this way it is possible to protect the phone from overvoltage modes.

Typical errors of the same class include refusal to charge even with a small battery discharge (50%). To prolong the life of your phone battery, it has been proven to be beneficial to charge it as soon as possible. It is estimated that if lithium-ion batteries are used in full discharge and charge mode, they can withstand no more than 500 cycles. When they switch to charging at 50% discharge, this figure increases to 1500. To achieve the maximum result, the range is selected in the range from 40 to 80%.

Despite the fact that lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory effect, it is still useful to discharge them to zero at least occasionally (once every two months) and charge them to a full level. Sometimes this is done for a purely practical purpose - to calibrate the part of the electronics responsible for the accuracy of the display of the charge level.

If you mistakenly refuse this procedure, then over time the indicator will begin to "lie", giving a reading that is far from real. In general, this does not affect the performance of the device, but nevertheless, such a deviation leaves an unpleasant aftertaste for the user.
