Designer Svetlana Melnikova realized a difficult task - she completely transformed the "killed" two-room apartment, while preserving the atmosphere of pre-revolutionary Russia in some details.
Due to the limited budget, almost all the furniture was purchased from the mass market. In the new interior used and already used things bought on "Avito".
There was also little time: the customers were in a hurry to start repairs as soon as possible, and moreover, they did it themselves. Therefore, the designer offered such finishing solutions that a beginner could cope with.
Total footage: 55 m²
Number of rooms: 2
A place: St. Petersburg
Building: house 1890
Designer: Svetlana Melnikova
Living room
The clients were looking for an apartment in an old building - with large windows, high ceilings and preserved historical details. They found housing, but his condition left much to be desired.
After the renovation, the premises became comfortable for the life of a modern person. The décor is inspired by the rich history of the place - with a clear touch of Mid-Century style and modern classics.
The parquet covered with an "English tree" has been preserved on the floor. However, I had to try to return it to a presentable look.
Large furniture was bought from IKEA. In the design, reproductions of paintings were widely used - the frames for them were purchased in Leroy Merlin.
Bedroom
Art objects can also be observed in the bedroom. In addition, books took an important place in the interior of the room.
Textiles, which made up a calm pastel range, were also bought in the mass market.
The designer gave the interior a bit of a graphic touch with black batteries and gray window frames.
Kitchen
The kitchen was kept in the same arrangement, but everything took on a completely different look. The headset was also purchased from IKEA.
The apron was lined with mosaics in an unobtrusive color, and the bulky top cabinets were replaced with light wooden shelves.
A framed map of the Quaternary deposits of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region was hung on the wall. The sofa for the dining table was found on Avito.
Hallway
The walls in the corridor have acquired a terracotta color, which is one of the customers' favorite shades.
