Designer Dasha Ukhlinova transformed an ordinary two-room apartment in Moscow, taking the Scandi style as a basis.

The room began to look brighter and more modern due to exclusively decorative techniques.

  • total area: 52.3 m²
  • Number of rooms: 2
  • A place: Moscow
  • Who lives here: mom with child and sister
  • Designer: Dasha Ukhlinova

Due to the limited budget, the bulk of the furniture was bought in the mass market. The materials of Russian production were used for finishing.

A mother with a child and a sister lives in the apartment. The customer wanted to do without redevelopment. They decided to equip a nursery in the bedroom, and place two sleeping places for adults in the living room.

Living room

The walls in the living room were covered with light gray paint. The standard wood-colored laminate has been replaced by a whitewashed finish.

A spacious bed for the hostess was placed by the window, highlighting the sleeping area of the living room. A fold-out sofa was placed near the entrance, which from the center of the recreation area at night turns into an additional place to sleep.

For decoration in contrast to the light room, bright table lamps, plants in pots that echo in shades, and eye-catching photo frames were used. The upholstery of the armchair and sofa was also chosen in more saturated colors.

Kitchen

In the kitchen, the old bulky ceiling was abandoned. A more modern look was given to the room by brickwork, which was used to trim the wall from the entrance side.

The poorly matched headset was replaced with a more elegant white.

Renovated kitchen

The place opposite was taken by a round folding table for the whole family and a small display cabinet.

Bright chairs and a lamp were built into the interior as bright accents. The yellow scale is continued by the mosaic along the apron and the curtain on the window.

Children

The child's room was equipped with a loft bed. At the bottom, near the window, a workplace was placed where the boy can prepare for school.

Storage bins were placed along the opposite wall. Their upper surface, covered with pillows and foam, can also function as a resting place.

Bathroom

At the request of the hostess, a large bathtub was left in the bathroom. A laundry room was placed in the corner by the opposite wall. In the design, white is set off by light green and yellow shades.

Hallway

The same range can be seen in the hallway. For storage convenience, to the right of the entrance, a tall, narrow cabinet with white shuttered doors was installed, like in the living room.
