Bright kopeck piece 60 m² for a bachelor with competent redevelopment

  • Dec 15, 2020

Designer Maxim Novinkov designed a two-room apartment for a young man, using bright color accents in the interior.

To increase the usable space, a small redevelopment was also made. The client wanted to have not only a comfortable, but interestingly decorated, modern apartment, the view that would not get bored even after many years.

  • total area: 60 m²
  • Number of rooms: 2
  • Ceiling height: 3.1 m
  • A place: Moscow
  • Who lives here: A young man
  • Budget: 9 million rubles
  • Designer: Maxim Novinkov

All rooms were united by one basic shade - neutral light gray. At the same time, bright, mostly red and orange accents were placed in each of the rooms.

To make the apartment freer and more spacious, removed the wall between the living room and the kitchen. In addition, part of the bedroom was turned into a separate spacious dressing room to solve the storage problem.

Living room

The seating area is marked with a thin carpet. The protrusion of the wall in the passage between the living room and the kitchen also serves as a conditional border.

If the blue elements maintain the dominant calm tone, but the rich red shades of the upholstery of the chair and lamps come into conflict with it.

This creates an interesting interaction of colors in the interior. Moreover, accent details stand out not only in color, but also in a glossy surface.

The design is also distinguished by a certain futurism, which manifests itself in the selection of an unusual "space" chair and a lamp of complex shape with geometric motifs.

Kitchen

The kitchen further develops the accent red theme. The fronts of the upper cabinets of the headset and the surface of the refrigerator door add a contrasting bright gloss.

Another interesting detail is the painting with geometric patterns. It echoes the animal portrait in the recreation area.

Bedroom

The wall behind the bed was decorated with soft panels. Nevertheless, those contrasting "fiery" shades dilute the neutral room, make it more varied and warmer.

An additional unexpected accent is the rich blue-green color of the textiles and upholstery of the chair.

A workplace was set up along the wall at the entrance. The rest of the room was converted into a dressing room, thus closing the storage issue.

Bathroom

In the bathroom, the same colors collide, but the accent shade is noticeably softer here.

The pipes and the entire sewerage system were hidden in the wall. Part of the bathroom fits well into the resulting corner.

Hallway

A wardrobe was placed in the corridor, which also became an auxiliary storage space. A painting with the same geometric pattern as in the mini-cabinet was used as a decor.
