Designer Dasha Ukhlinova transformed an old kopeck piece for a family of three. They took the Art Deco style as a basis. The apartment was decorated in contrasting black and white colors, which were softened with natural decor.

In addition, we did a small redevelopment. Thanks to this, both the mother of the family, and the daughter, and the grandmother have a separate room for sleeping.

To fill a small apartment with light and make the space freer and more voluminous, a large number of mirrors were used.

  • total area: 57 m²
  • Number of rooms: 2
  • Who lives here: mom, daughter and grandmother
  • Budget: 3 million rubles
  • Designer: Dasha Ukhlinova

Living room

The living room was furnished so that the whole family could gather in it during the day, and at night the room turned into a bedroom for the owner of the apartment. For this, a spacious folding sofa was installed.

A toilet area for mom was equipped at the entrance. She was highlighted with a tall mirror sheet. It also visually expands the room.

This technique, coupled with white walls and black contrasting details, significantly increased the volume of the room, and also added graphic design to the design.

The austerity of the interior dilutes the decor in the form of flowers, living plants, paintings with images of flamingos and figurines depicting the figures of musicians.

Bedroom

The bedroom where mother and daughter used to spend the night has turned into a room for a teenage girl.

A massive bunk bed was removed from the room, which made the room heavier and "eaten up" the area. It was replaced with a narrow sofa.

A workplace was set up nearby. This area was highlighted with wallpaper with a geometric pattern.

In the design, everything also collides with dark and light colors. This opposition is intensified by mirrors, but at the same time softened by greenery and flowers.

Kitchen

The kitchen interior maintains the dominant style and color palette. The white fronts of the headset were set off with black graphic accents.

At the opposite wall is a mini-dining room that can accommodate all family members.

The kitchen opens onto a balcony. It used to serve as additional storage space.

However, it was insulated by adding underfloor heating and soft panels for the walls, and a small but cozy sleeping place for the grandmother was equipped there.

Hallway

The door from the hallway to the kitchen was removed to allow more light into the entrance area.

All storage systems were moved from here to a specially equipped storage room adjacent to the kitchen. Things from the balcony were also brought there.

Bathroom

The bathroom was left separate. A shower cabin was installed in the bathroom, with a seat and handrails for the grandmother.

A washing machine and dryer were built in next to the column, and a pull-out box for linen was made under it.

In the niche above the toilet, a storage system for hygiene and sanitary products was arranged. She was hidden behind the doors.
