Designer Natalya Shirokorad redesigned a 49 m² kopeck piece for a mother and daughter. Before that, repairs in the apartment had been done for a long time, and therefore housing required global changes. The pink nursery and purple bedroom no longer suited their mistresses.
- total area: 49.1 m² (with balcony)
- Number of rooms: 2
- Who lives here: Mom and daughter
- Budget: 3.8 million rubles (2017)
- Designer: Natalia Shirokorad

The area of the apartment is relatively small, so every corner of the apartment was tried to be functional, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. In addition, the customers wanted a sufficient amount of storage space.
Kitchen
A more spacious kitchen set was chosen - with mezzanine cabinets. A compact oven with a microwave function also took over the role of a microwave and, due to its low height, made it possible to place a spacious drawer under it.
The wall opposite was finished with brick-like tiles, creating a hint of a loft. In addition, this solution made the surface more resistant to mechanical damage.
Bedroom
The walls in the hostess's bedroom have acquired a dark tone, thereby remembering the room with a rich color.
Light furnishings provide a contrast, while yellow and gold elements in the form of textiles and lighting act as accents. A wardrobe and a rack were built along the wall to the left of the bed, which, in particular, accommodated the hostess's mini-library.
The bedroom opens onto a balcony. There are also several compact storage systems located there.
Children
In the room of a 14-year-old girl, in addition to the bed, it was required to place a workplace where she could comfortably study lessons. To save space, preference was given to a folding sofa, which does not take up much space during the day. An open rack was selected for storing textbooks. The wall behind it was decorated with brickwork.
Hallway
In the hallway, the client wanted to paint the wall. As a result, an image of the Brooklyn Bridge appeared. This composition visually expanded the space a little.
In the niche to the right of the entrance, a mini-laundry room was equipped. In addition to the washing machine itself, several shelves were also provided.
Bathroom
We selected inexpensive tiles for the bathroom. So that it does not look boring, they decided to lay it with a "herringbone". The room was also diversified with a painting from the client's favorite book.
