Designer Victoria Ivanova told what favorite effective techniques of designers it is not so difficult to repeat at all.
1. High doors
First of all, high doors will visually raise the ceiling. This solution allows both the use of a solid door leaf and doors with a cover plate on top.
To achieve a greater presence of light and air, the top can be decorated with stained glass or plain glass. If you are using a ceiling cornice, it is important to take into account that the door should not block it.
2. Using multiple planes
An excellent interior solution will be the transition of lamps or materials and textures to different planes. Who said that finishing material cannot "flow" from floor to wall? Or why not, for example, partially merge the wall and countertop? This will allow you to visually "put the room together".
You can go further and tie into a more complete picture not only walls and floors, but also furniture. Playing with light in this case will look really impressive.
3. Mirror panels
This option is ideal for small and dark rooms. Mirror panels will double the amount of light and give depth.
In addition, we all know that mirrors visually expand the space and modify the asymmetry of rooms. In this regard, designers often use floor mirrors in bathrooms.
4. Colored ceiling
If you are bored with its standard design, consider painting it. The ceiling can be not only plain, but also striped, or, for example, painted in the form of an old carpet, if the general concept of the room allows it.
Also, a rather popular way of its design today is the lack of design. So, many leave the ceiling as they saw after the acceptance of the apartment. Moreover, they do not even care about hiding the wiring. Of course, this decision, as a rule, implies an appropriate style, first of all - a loft.
5. Center furniture
"Babushkina" arrangement of furniture along the walls does not suit more and more people every year. A sofa that can be walked around freely from all sides will avoid the frequent mistake that makes the room seem too empty.
Of course, such a solution is only relevant if there is enough free space and a competent layout. Also interesting is the trend towards modular sofas. It offers tons of uses and never gets boring.
6. Hidden backlight
Hidden lighting is often used in minimalist interiors. Such lighting has several functions - it can both serve as a decorative element and serve as an additional source of light.
In addition, it works to create an atmosphere of coziness or even mystery and mystery when necessary. Such lighting, as a rule, is built into a drywall niche or mounted on a decorative cornice.
