Hello! My name is Tatiana Maslennikova and now I will tell you how we converted the one-room apartment into a two-room apartment with an area of 38 m² with a separate bedroom for a young married couple waiting to be replenished. The apartment was completed in a modern style, also complementing the interior with loft elements.

  • total area: 38 m²
  • Number of rooms: from one-room to two-room
  • A place: Khimki
  • Who lives here: married couple awaiting replenishment
  • Budget: 3 million rubles
  • Designer: Tatiana Maslennikova

The living room and kitchen were combined. In the far corner of the apartment, so as not to interfere with the penetration of natural light, a bedroom was highlighted. Thanks to the transparent partition, it has also become part of a seamless space. The balconies were insulated and the redevelopment was completely legalized.

Living room

A rich blue sofa accentuates the neutral, cool finish. The wall behind it was decorated with panels that also diversified the room with green and yellow tones.

Dark details that refer to the loft style add graphicity - vertical radiators, track lamps and pendant chandeliers.

The balcony became an extension of the living room, adding living space to the apartment. He, in particular, has become a convenient place for creativity.

Kitchen

The island in the center of a single room acted as a zoning element. It also serves as a dining table. Additional storage cells were placed under it.

The kitchen apron was laid with the same panels as the accent wall in the living room, thematically and aesthetically connecting the zones.

Bedroom

The bedroom has been insulated with glass partitions with graphic black profiles. Blackout curtains were also hung from the inside to hide light and noise.

The room was made in a calmer tone, combining light wood with a pale green hue of the walls.

Instead of a bed, a large podium was designed and a mattress was laid on it. Under it were equipped with spacious drawers for storage.

Hallway

A built-in wardrobe was installed to the right of the entrance. Another niche was placed in the niche on the side of the bedroom. They refused to use standard furniture so as not to split up a small space.

Bathroom

The customers wanted to place the bath. As a result, its length was reduced to the maximum, so that a washing machine could also enter the compact room. It was built into the headset.

The bathroom was finished with concrete-look porcelain stoneware with elements of abrasion and vintage paintings, adding another hint of a loft.
