The hosts were on a tight budget. A large number of interior items and some furniture were given by relatives and acquaintances, some they bought in addition to Avito. But thanks to the chosen style, all the elements were organically and interestingly beaten.

  • total area: 46 m²
  • Number of rooms: 1
  • A place: St. Petersburg
  • Who lives here: for short-term rental
  • Budget: 800 thous. rubles
  • Designers: Polina and Alexey Koptev
The apartment is located in a house of an old foundation, and this made a key line in the formation of the aesthetic concept of the project. The interior was made in the spirit of Soviet modernism. However, we also introduced modern motives, making extensive use of loft elements.

Living room

The ceiling and walls were hardly touched, they were only slightly smoothed with a layer of plaster. The radiators were painted black. Thus, the designers created a loft-style base.

One of the walls was accentuated. Sunny yellow became the main contrasting shade. Textiles were also selected in this color.

The classic herringbone parquet immediately refers to the Soviet interior. Lots of vintage décor and furniture pieces deepen this motif.

Many guests think that the hosts have kept the original window slopes, but of course they never were here. They were assembled from plasterboard sheets.

Bedroom

A secluded bedroom was set up on the second tier. The niche above the head of the bed plays the role of a bedside table. It also managed to accommodate a dressing room and a workplace.

Kitchen

The walls and ceiling in the kitchen were painted black. So it was possible to smooth out the corners and boundaries of the room. In addition, due to the abundance of living light and the absence of curtains, the space did not turn out to be dark.

The set consists of one tier of IKEA cabinets made of stainless steel. They were supplemented with an old wooden display case from my grandmother, where the service was placed.

The ZIL refrigerator was found on Avito, it was repaired and repainted. The wall lamp was made from a fruit vase purchased from IKEA.

They wanted to make the opening in the kitchen higher, but they had to leave the inconvenient configuration of the gas pipe. This drawback was played up by making a semicircular window and placing a mini-bar at the top.

Bathroom

The bathroom is finished in a rich dark olive color. The compact space has been visually enlarged a little thanks to a large full-width mirror.
