Over time, many plastic bottles of various shapes and sizes accumulate in the country. All of them can be taken to recycling (or, in extreme cases, to the trash heap), and can be used as recyclable materials to create useful household appliances.
In this article, I want to talk about one of the simplest homemade products that can be made from two plastic bottles. The whole process will take no more than 5 minutes.
We don't even need a carpentry tool to create. All you need is a simple serrated table knife found in every kitchen. In some cases, super glue can be used. However, this is not necessary at all.
If you don't have a knife with teeth at hand, you can use a metal saw or any other similar cutting tool instead.
First, we need to cut off the neck of the first bottle. The diameter of the cut part should be slightly less than the outer diameter of the plug.
I was unable to make the correct calculation the first time, so the neck had to be cut again. Working with small elements is rather inconvenient, so it is advisable not to repeat my mistakes.
Now we take the cap from the second bottle and screw it onto the cut neck. If the diameter is correct, the lid will fit snugly into place. If necessary, super glue can be applied to the threads. This will firmly secure the lid, making the container airtight.
If you overdo it with glue, it will partially leak into the lid. To remove it, rinse the device with water, then wipe the inside with an old cloth, and then remove the glue that has rolled into lumps. This can be done with a nail or toothpick.
If you are using translucent lids, the glue should also be transparent. Otherwise, it will give an ugly yellowness, and the product will lose its well-groomed appearance.
That's all, our craft is ready. We now have a capsule for storing various household items such as small seeds, paper clips, nuts or cloves.
Thanks to the seals in the lids, the container is airtight and suitable for storing matches in a gazebo or shed. This feature will be useful for those who often go hiking or fishing.
If you do not use glue, this container can be used to store condiments, sugar, or salt. The plastic from which the lids are made is suitable for water and food.
By and large, the craft is an excellent analogue of small jars of medicines, which are always useful in everyday life.
I recently got groups In contact with and Classmates, there I post announcements of new materials every day.
