The problem with the germination of grass on garden paths appeared to me long before the creation of the "Country worker". The path leading from the house to the hut was periodically overgrown with weeds and I shaved them every summer with a trimmer. The procedure was as follows. I tilted the tool so that the line would fit between the tiles and thus run along the entire length of the track. It came out much faster than weeding, but the thread consumption was too high. This did not suit me at all. First off, the trimmer line was worth the money. Secondly, it was very inconvenient to put it on. It was necessary to find another way to clean the track.

Herbicides are a fairly popular solution to the problem in such situations. Some really effectively fight grass, but I didn't want to use them on my site. I am sincerely sure that harmful substances that go into the ground are carried around the site by soil waters and reach plantings in different concentrations. I didn't want to poison the garden.

It made no sense to return to manual weeding, since the procedure was not very effective. It was not always possible to pull out the weed together with the root system. Narrow slits held the plants tightly, giving new chances to germinate from the remaining roots.

How I got rid of the grass

I didn't have to look too long for a solution. The first popular folk method proved to be quite effective. With its help, I was able to remove most of the plants without physically affecting the tiles. It turned out to be much easier than hand weeding and even working with a trimmer.

The essence of the method is to prepare a natural herbicide. To do this, you need salt, vinegar and water - ingredients that are found in every home.

5 tablespoons of vinegar and 3 tablespoons of salt are dissolved in 1 liter of hot water. The resulting solution is used immediately after preparation. You don't need to add any essential oils or juices. The result does not change in any way - it is tested on personal experience.

The sooner the tile joints are processed, the better the effect will be. I spill the track every year at the very beginning of May.
