Good afternoon, my reader. Three-time spring treatment of the garden is aimed at eradicating and preventing diseases and fungal infections, protects trees from insect infestations. The first eradication treatment is aimed at combating pathogens and fungi, the second - against insects. The third (complex) spraying has the goal of stimulating plant immunity, among other things.

First eradication treatment

Held in early spring before the garden is awake. For central Russia, this is the period from the last decade of March to mid-April. But you need to focus on the weather. This procedure is especially important in the following cases:

  • Autumn spraying was not carried out.
  • The infection was high last season. A large number of pathogens could remain on trees and in the soil.
  • instagram viewer
  • You have not removed the affected foliage from under the tree - spores of the fungus and bacteria are perfectly preserved in it.
  • Trees were cultivated in autumn while they were still covered with foliage. In this case, the drug could not get on the branches covered with leaf blades.
In early spring, the causative agents of moniliosis, scab, late blight, lichens first of all wake up. It is best to fight them with the help of eradicating treatment with high concentrations of drugs.

Perform the first spraying before the buds awaken with one of the following formulations:

  • iron vitriol - solution 3%;
  • copper sulfate or Bordeaux liquid - a solution of 2-3%.

In the phase of swelling of the buds of leaf growth, such concentrations "burn" young shoots, therefore the concentration of copper in the solution is reduced to 1%.

Processing before budding

This treatment can be carried out no earlier than 15-20 days after the first. It is aimed at eliminating insects that wake up when night temperatures are above zero.

Swollen buds and young leaves are attacked by a kidney mite, apple blossom beetle, pear leaf gall midge, cherry tubewert, kidney moth, and even an already awakened aphid. In warm, dry weather, their numbers grow rapidly and pose a threat to trees and shrubs.

The processing period in the middle lane is the second or third decade of April (depending on the weather). To spray heavily affected trees, you can use any proven insecticide (Aktara, Iskra, Commander). Add boric acid to the prepared solution at the rate of 0.5 g per 1 liter of water.

If the processing time is close to the moment of budding, it is better to give preference to biodegradable preparations (Fitoverm).

Processing during budding

Spraying during this period should be as gentle as possible so as not to damage the delicate young leaves and the buds themselves. Please note that at this time the bees begin active pollination, which means that long-term aggressive insecticides are not suitable.

Stop using biologics and immunostimulants. Prepare the following solutions separately at a rate of 1 liter each:

  • an antifungal drug based on hay bacillus (for example, "Alirin", "Gamair", "Fitosporin");
  • insecticide (Fitoverm);
  • growth regulator ("Epin", "Zircon", "Bud");
  • boric acid solution (0.5 g per 2 l of water).
Combine all these solutions and add another 1 liter of water to them. It is important to start processing immediately after preparation. Do not store the prepared solution.
