For example, with a verbal agreement it may be like this; At the beginning of the installation, one amount is negotiated, and at the end of the work, the client begins to clamp down on money, to get to the bottom of the quality of the work, tries to bring down the price. Or even refuses to pay for the work of installers. Such cases are not uncommon.
That is why plumbers take additional measures to protect their interests. They told me about some of them, and applied some in practice.
Method number 1Self-tapping screws in the sewer
When installing the sewage system with plastic pipes, 3-4 self-tapping screws are screwed into the section of the pipe that will enter the socket. They will not be visible on the finished system. After the completion of the installation work, with the complete calculation of the customer with the laborers, the "time bomb" is removed. If there is a discrepancy in wages, then this section of the pipe remains in the system. And for some time, it begins to collect hair, threads, rags, large insoluble debris on self-tapping screws. Ie arises Blockage which cannot be removed by conventional means. Just iterate over the system. The miser will pay twice.
Method number 2 Narrowing the section
When installing heating systems with polypropylene, some sections of the pipes deliberately overheat during welding. Which leads to a narrowing of the section. But the pipe is not muffled. Coins with drilled holes are also used, which are installed in the "American" connections. In this case, upon completion of installation, the system can be pressurized under pressure (for the customer), water will fill the pipes. But it will not be able to move freely through the system. After paying for the work, the narrowed areas and coins are removed. The system is fully launched.
Method number 3 Silumin cranes
At the moment, it is very difficult to find taps that are falling apart on water supply and heating systems. But in due time my friend picked up enough of them. Therefore, when installing heating or water supply, he puts them on critical areas. After paying for the work, he dismantles them and installs brass ones. If the client has not paid in addition, then he leaves them in the system. Then they begin to fall apart within six months. AND when you try to turn off these taps, they literally fall into two parts. Which leads to hassle, and possibly damage.
Method number 4 Contruklon in the bathroom
When installing plumbing fixtures in new buildings, our guys very often use incorrect installation of the bathtub. The slope is deliberately made not towards the water drain. If the client calculates without problems, then the bath gets better. If there are problems with payment, then such a bath is later finished with tiles, a box. It becomes expensive to fix this problem. Or the client doesn't fix anything and drives the water with rags towards the drain, all the life of the repair.
Method number 5 Scrap instead of pipe
A very popular way to take revenge on the iron heating system that many people know about. Scrap with a diameter of 20 mm. welded into the heating distribution. When the system starts up, some part of the riser does not heat. Even after deflating. Therefore, masters who know about such a setup begin to tap the pipes, solid scrap, unlike the pipe, sounds differently. And they also look for areas less than 1.5 meters, the standard length of scrap.
