I visit garages periodically. A fan was found near my property. Either the neighbor threw it away. Either he forgot him, but rushed away. Such a find is more useful than ever. Soon the heat will be in my garage, and blowing my sweaty face.

But unfortunately the wind blower did not work, but only hummed. I already guessed what is the reason. I decided to make an easy disassembly and repair, as well as show the repair process.

Such a breakdown is quite frequent and has already repaired a couple of discarded fans in this way. You can do that too.

For this requires removing the protective mesh by peeling off the clips. Unscrew the screw retainer. Attention it must be turned counterclockwise. Remove the propeller.

how seen from the photo inside the gallery, the stock was smeared. But the consistency of the lubricant is somehow sticky. And the smell was like edible oil. What do you think it was filled with?

For in order for you to understand what needs to be done, I went on and sorted out more than required.

As you can see the rod on which the wind-blowing propeller rotates is covered with dust. It must be removed.

To repair this "unit" you just need to sprinkle oil on the plain bearing. Any machine or special lubricant such as WD-40 will do

Grease a clean shaft with the motor facing up. Drops of grease will flow into the bearing and lubricate the dry sliding surface. Rotate the shaft with your fingers during this procedure.

After this action, it remains to collect the wind blower and enjoy the working technique.
