It is not so difficult to repair a single lever mixer if you know the simple steps for performing repairs. A common failure of such mixers is a malfunction (wear) of the internal cartridge mechanism. Which leads to water leakage... KAP, KAP. This usually gets on the nerves.
I propose to see in stages how to make a replacement yourself, without calling a plumber.
The first step is to shut off the water supply; on the riser, you need to find taps and close them.
On the faucet, find the "pimp", the blue and red plug and tuck it in.
Insert a thin screwdriver or hexagon, depending on the manufacturer, into the open hole and unscrew the screw. The hex set is cheap, so you need to get one. Useful on the farm.
By loosening the screw, the handle can be removed.
The next step is to unscrew the plastic decorative cap. Counterclock-wise. Should be unscrewed by hand. To release the thread.
We take in our hands any gas wrench or open-end wrench for 32 and unscrew the clamping washer.
If the washer is unscrewed, then you can easily pull out the cartridge.
After removing the plastic cartridge, you go to the plumbing store, show it there and the seller will select the one you need for replacement.
Having installed the cartridge in its place, we assemble in the reverse order, photo in the gallery:
Note, if difficulties arise at any stage, then call a plumber.
