What's there to be able to do? You cut anything and that's it, ordinary people think so. But it's not that simple. There are little things to keep in mind.

In order to cut the pipe straight, if you are in no hurry and you have little experience, then I strongly recommend using masking tape.

Apply it around the circumference, evenly and orient yourself along this strip.

Take any cutting tool. It can be a hacksaw for wood, or better for metal.

For these purposes, I sometimes use renovator, usually in hard-to-reach places:

But the main cutting tool is a cordless grinder, grinder.

Cut it off exactly, not a problem if you do as mentioned above.

But what to do next? Directly connecting? NO. Some manipulations should be done before joining the cut pipe. It is necessary to clean up and create the outer cone, the end of the pipe.

The tapered end in the sewer pipe is necessary for easy entry of the branch pipes into the mating part of the fitting and to prevent the sealing gasket from slipping (jamming) from the seat.

The first way this is the removal of the outer layer, the end of the pipe at an angle using a knife.

Second waythis is erasing with a CONCRETE surface!

This requires the end of the pipe, rub it at an angle on the concrete, so that a cone is obtained.

Important information

When cutting the pipe with any tool, it is necessary to remove the burrs inside the pipe.

This is done with an ordinary knife. If you miss this moment, then the likelihood of blockages in the sewer increases many times over, due to clinging hairs washed into the sewer, be sure to take this nuance into account!
