Hello dear readers!
Do you like unusual vases? If so, you'll love today's article. After all, we made a vase from boxes of juice and sawdust. The only thing is that you can't pour water into such a vase, but you can put some kind of container for water inside.
For manufacturing you will need:
· A couple of juice boxes;
· Scissors, pencil, ruler;
· Masking tape;
· Toilet paper;
· PVA glue;
· Sawdust;
· Aerosol paints in spray cans;
· Universal varnish in a spray can.
Making a vase is simple, the only thing, it will take a lot of time to dry.
A huge request to the category of people who are far from needlework, you do not need to write nasty things in the comments. I didn't like it, just walk by - it's not difficult. For us, it is primarily a hobby that brings a lot of pleasure. Thank you!
Step 1.
Take 2 liter juice boxes and cut them open.
Step 2.
We draw a template as in the photo. You don't have to do exactly the same thing, you can experiment with the shape.
Step 3.
We attach the template to the cut box and outline it. Cut out the details.
Step 4.
Using paper tape, glue all the pieces together.
We cut out the bottom and also glue it on tape.
Step 5.
Now let's prepare papier-mâché. Toilet paper was pulled into a plate and filled with hot water.
After 20 minutes, wring out the paper, knead the lumps and add PVA glue. Mix using a fork.
Step 6.
Apply papier-mâché to the vase and smooth it with your hands. Leave to dry for 24 hours.
Step 7.
We put glue on a vase and roll it in sawdust.
After 6 hours, when the glue has set a little, apply another layer of glue diluted with water and sprinkle with sawdust. Leave to dry for another day.
Step 8.
We paint the vase in blue and white.
Step 9.
We cover the vase with universal varnish for 2 times.
Everything is ready.
2 layers of varnish provide good protection against moisture, and also prevent sawdust from crumbling. So this vase can even be washed under running water.
As I wrote at the beginning, you can put a container for water inside the vase, then it will be suitable for fresh flowers.
