Hello dear readers!
Soon February 14, Valentine's Day, and on this occasion I want to show you a craft that I did a few years ago. This is a souvenir made from styrofoam, putty, paint and some other materials. I named this souvenir "Heart in bronze".
For making, I used the following materials and tools:
· Dense and regular foam;
· Stationery knife, pencil, brush;
· Hot glue;
· Gypsum plaster, finishing putty;
· Sandpaper;
· PVA glue as a primer;
· Toothpicks;
· Paper tape;
· Paints in spray cans.
Step 1.
On a piece of dense foam 4 cm thick, I drew a heart and cut it out with a clerical knife. Cut out 2 identical hearts.
Step 2.
Glued both hearts together with hot glue.
Step 3.
With a sharp knife, I cut off the excess, rounding the corners.
Step 4.
I made a pedestal for the heart from ordinary loose foam.
Step 5.
I covered both foam parts with gypsum plaster. After drying, it will be quite tough.
Step 6.
After the plaster has dried, I cleaned it with sandpaper. Primed parts with PVA glue diluted with water.
Step 7.
Putty the details with a finishing plaster putty. Pedestal 1 time, and heart 2 times to achieve a smoother and smoother surface. Sanding and primed between layers.
That's how I did it.
Step 8.
I put letters on the heart with hot glue.
Step 9.
I stuck a few toothpicks into the bottom of my heart, squeezed hot glue into the pedestal and connected both parts together.
Step 10.
I have these Chinese paints.
I painted the entire craft first black.
When the black paint was dry, I blew some bronze paint into the lid and using a sponge applied the bronze to the pedestal.
He covered the pedestal with paper tape, and painted the heart red.
Using a small brush, I applied bronze paint to the letters.
The souvenir is ready.
