Friends, hello everyone!

An old Soviet decanter was lying around at home, which has lost its appearance over many years of service. It's a pity to throw it away, we decided to make it a vintage thing for the house. As it turned out, this is very simple and not expensive to do.

What materials did we need:

· Well, the decanter itself;

· White Spirit;

· Acrylic paints;

· Old tulle;

· Scissors, brushes;

· Openwork ribbon;

· PVA glue;

· Several self-adhesive crystals;

· Acrylic and bituminous varnishes.

Step 1.

Wipe the decanter with white spirit. You can use nail polish remover or thinner to degrease the glass.

Step 2.

We paint with white acrylic paint - this will be the base coat.

Step 3.

We take tulle with flowers and cut out the fragment we like.

Step 4.

We glue a piece of tulle onto a decanter with PVA glue. We have building glue, thick.

Step 5.

An openwork ribbon was glued to the neck.

Step 6.

When the glue was dry, it was painted with bronze acrylic paint.

Step 7.

When the bronze paint has dried, we apply bituminous varnish and immediately wipe off the excess with a wet rag. Leave to dry for several hours.

Step 8.

Apply 2-3 coats of acrylic varnish.

Step 9.

Glued some black rhinestones.

The result is a vintage vase.

The vase can be washed safely, several layers of varnish protect it from water. I specially highlight this in bold so that they don't ask in the comments 100 times!

See what other vases we made with our own hands:

An amazing vase was made from a bottle and putty

A "porcelain" vase was made from an ordinary glass vase

You will be surprised when you see what kind of vase we made from a regular bottle
