Hello friends and guests of the channel!

A neighbor brought an old clock and asked to somehow refresh and decorate it. The watch is good, but it has lost its appearance and does not really fit into the modern interior. And it is a pity to throw out such antiques, because the mechanism is still working and the clock is running.

As a result, we got an interesting version of the updated watch, I will not delay, see for yourself.

To update, we used:

· Fine sandpaper;

· Nail polish remover;

· Acrylic paints of different colors;

· Permanent marker;

· Acrylic lacquer;

· Brushes, sponge;

· Molds;

Homemade polymer clay (see the recipe here);

· PVA glue, construction.

Step 1.

First of all, we cleaned the dial, pendulum and the watch case itself from varnish, which began to peel off, with sandpaper.

Step 2.

Everything was thoroughly wiped with nail polish remover.

Step 3.

The dial was painted with white acrylic paint, bypassing the numbers.

The numbers themselves were updated with a marker.

Step 4.

The pendulum was painted with bronze paint.

Step 5.

Then the dial, pendulum and the entire inside of the watch were coated with acrylic lacquer.

Step 6.

Homemade polymer clay was molded into molds, and the resulting patterns were glued to the clock with PVA glue.

They left to dry for several hours.

Step 7.

Painted on the outside with light brown or beige paint. They left to dry for 1 hour.

Step 8.

We covered the polymer clay patterns with varnish.

Step 9.

They applied brown acrylic paint to the patterns and immediately wiped off the excess with a damp cloth.

Using a sponge, they applied the same paint all over the body.

Step 10.

A little white paint was added with a sponge.

Step 11.

The watch was completely varnished on the outside for 2 times.

This is the result we got. The neighbor was pleased, and this is the main thing!
