Many housewives are trying to cope with the problem with a plunger. But this is not always effective. Moreover, modern sinks have a special drain system, so you have to look for other methods.
Often, the plunger is not able to create such pressure that the blockage goes away. The sinks have an overflow hole to prevent overfilling of the tank. Therefore, all the pressure created by the plunger is vented through this hole.
If the blockage does not break through, people make a decision - to disassemble the siphon. Of course, if you get to it easily, then this is a good option. But often siphons are hidden behind boxes, decorative screens, and they are laid with tiles. Also, some are just too lazy to disassemble the structure. What then is to be done?
I will share with you an effective method of getting rid of the blockage through the drain hole.
If you notice that the water does not leave or is leaving too slowly, immediately start taking action.
- To fix the problem, you need a piece of flexible stranded wire (no longer than 30 centimeters), with a cross section of 2.5 - 4 square millimeters.
- One end of the wire must be cleaned of insulation by about 1 centimeter.
- Next, bend the bare wires in the form of a mushroom, evenly in all directions.
The construction is ready to use! Simply dip the wire into the drain hole and gently slide it back and forth. I recommend scrolling the structure left and right several times.
Thanks to this, hair and fat are quickly removed from the siphon. If you cannot get them through the drain hole, then you will still remove the dirt from the walls, and it will go down the drain.
Take at least 2-4 sets and you will notice how the water begins to drain faster from the sink.
