Hello, friends!

Even the usual chicken can be a delicious dish if you know how to cook it. And today I will share with you this simple yet unusual recipe that uses nasturtium leaves.

To begin with, I want to clarify - this flower, which probably grows in many people on the site, is an excellent seasoning, known since ancient times!

It is very popular among Western culinary experts, but for some reason, few people here know about its gastronomic use. And in vain! After all, its leaves, flowers and even unripe seeds are an excellent spice for salads, meat and fish dishes.

It is also very rich in vitamin C and has a number of medicinal properties.

We will need:

• Chicken drumsticks - 4 pcs;

• Sour cream - 5 tbsp. l;

• 1 medium onion;

• Black pepper - 1 \ 2 tsp;

• Garlic - 2 teeth;

• Vegetable oil;

Grease the drumsticks thoroughly with salt, black pepper, and crushed garlic.

We send the drumsticks to be fried in oil in a pan over high heat. Fry well on both sides until a pronounced golden brown crust.

Next, cut half the onion in half and cut into half rings. Fry the onions well until golden brown. When the onion is ready, add sour cream to it (5 tbsp. l) and a glass of water, a little salt. This will be our sour cream and onion sauce, where the chicken will be stewed

Throw the chicken into the boiling sauce and simmer on low heat, covered for 10 minutes.

Then we simmer for another 5-10 minutes, but already over high heat, without a lid, so that the sauce becomes thicker.

Time has passed, add chopped nasturtium leaves to the pan.

Important! Keep nasturtium leaves under the lid for quite a bit, no more than 30 seconds, if only the aroma is revealed.

We held the leaves under the lid and immediately remove the pan from the stove by opening the lid.

We take a wide dish, put whole nasturtium leaves on the bottom for decoration, and put our chicken on top, pour abundantly with sour cream and onion sauce, in the center - a nasturtium flower.

The chicken turns out to be soft, tender, juicy, and the aroma of nasturtium in combination with sour cream and onion sauce gives the dish a very unusual, exquisite taste.

Try it!

Bon Appetit!
