Today I will show you how we made a very simple and cute DIY craft from a plastic container. Everything is banal and simple, and a lot of materials are not required.
Here are the materials you need:
· Plastic container (for shampoo or rinse aid);
· Stationery knife, sandpaper;
· Stones, cement;
· Liquid for removing varnish;
· Aerosol paints and varnish in spray cans;
· Masking tape;
· PVA glue;
· Rice crayons (cut).
We always use PVA glue for construction. It is quite thick and sticks together very well. Plus, it is not expensive and you can buy it at any hardware store. We buy adhesive tape and paints there.
Step 1.
Cut off the uppermost part of the plastic container and remove the label, if any.
Step 2.
We throw a few small stones at the bottom of the container and fill them with cement mortar. Leave to dry for 24 hours. It will be weighting.
It is easy to prepare a cement mortar, 3-4 tbsp was poured into a cup. tablespoons of cement and added a little water to get the consistency of thin sour cream.
Step 3.
We process the container with fine sandpaper and wipe it with nail polish remover. Do not forget to process the trimmed edge.
Step 4.
Paint it black from a spray can and dry for 20-30 minutes.
Step 5.
We glue masking tape, the pattern can be different, at our discretion. We just wound it in a spiral.
Step 6.
Apply a thick layer of PVA glue and sprinkle with rice, lightly pressing down with your fingers. Leave to dry for 2 hours.
Step 7.
The thick glue was diluted 50 to 50 with some water and smeared on the rice again and left to dry for 8-10 hours.
Step 8.
We painted the rice with silver spray paint.
Step 9.
Remove the tape very carefully.
Step 10.
No matter how we tried to carefully remove the scotch tape, still a few grains fell off. We glued these places with new ones and tinted them.
Step 11.
Covered with universal varnish from a spray can 2 times with an interval of 20 minutes.
The result is such a simple vase, into which you can pour water.
After all the operations done, the rice keeps pretty well, so you can wash the vase and not be afraid. You can use another color of paints, which you like best.
