A couple of months ago, the Portuguese architect samuel Goncalves presented its new project prefab modular home under the name Gomos System, Built in the Portuguese city of Arouca. A distinctive feature of its design designer calls the speed of home installation - just three days.
The process of creating Gomos System is divided into four stages: module production factory, its internal and external decoration, transportation and rapid installation. Each module is delivered to the destination with a standard set of additional components: flooring, thermal insulation, windows, doors, electrical wiring, plumbing and the facing facade materials.
Prefab consists of a number of special concrete modules (GOMOS), which are interconnected to form a living space. The standard size of the proposed house is 2.35 meters wide and 5.9 meters long. If desired modules are added, thereby increasing the size of the house. Also, the design can be adapted to different types of terrain. Assembling the house is carried out under strictly controlled conditions, and taking into account all the requirements imposed by law.
The project was implemented with the support of 18 local companies. The expected cost of a modular home will be about 55 thousand US dollars. Price will depend on the additional specifications.
