We turn a dirty and old bath into a new and snow-white one in 5

  • Dec 25, 2020

Time spares no one and nothing. Over the years, a brand new, white bathroom becomes covered with a coating, becomes dirty. It comes to the point that it becomes unpleasant to swim in it. And the whole room looks bad and not well-groomed when such an old, yellow unit “flaunts” in the center.

We transform a dirty and old bathtub into a new and snow-white one in 5 - 6 minutes. Simple and affordable way
Did you know that the bath is the "face" of the hostess. Not literally, of course. But it is precisely by her condition that some guests judge the cleanliness and accuracy of the hostess. I do not want to be unfounded, but today I will teach you how to bring a bath back to life in just 5 minutes!

The bathtub got dirty - what caused it?

Before proceeding with the solution of the problem, I propose to deal with its root cause. After swimming, we leave the bathroom clean and fresh, which cannot be said about the bath itself. A uniform coating of substances that do not dissolve in water remains on its walls. In simple words: we become clean and the bath becomes dirty.

In regions where tap water has a high level of hardness, this problem is more acute. It is not only the bath that suffers, but the entire plumbing in general.

Also don't forget about natural processes. Now I'm talking about corrosion. Fortunately, progress does not stand still, and therefore many apartment owners are replacing cast iron and steel pipes for plastic products. But there are also "Old Believers" who cannot change the water supply system for a number of reasons, or simply do not want to do it. Due to the regular change in pressure, water from the tap flows out directly with deposits and rust. Naturally, the bath will turn yellow and deteriorate from this.

Which bath cleaning options should never be used?

I think everyone understands that the use of abrasive products negatively affects the general condition of plumbing, in particular, if it has an acrylic coating. Acrylic is the same plastic, and therefore any damage can cause irreparable harm to it.

When using abrasives, small scratches remain on the plastic surface. After a while, the acrylic coating will completely wear off, exposing your bath.

Do not think that enamelled plumbing is protected from this. I highly discourage cleaning such baths with abrasive products. Although enamel is distinguished by increased endurance, experiments on its durability should not be tested.

By the way, when cleaning the bath with any means, be sure to use gloves. Otherwise, you will save the bath and ruin your hands. Some substances contain aggressive acids in their composition.

Now I will share with you a simple and effective method, but it involves a chemical reaction. Don't assume that it is completely safe. There is always a risk of injury, and therefore take care of your health. Better to be safe than to treat the consequences of your carelessness later.

A universal method that every housewife will need

Dear ladies and gentlemen, be sure to follow the instructions that I will describe to you below.

  • 1. The method, although effective, is impossibly simple. You need to take two tablespoons of regular baking soda. Fill the soda with water (in a small volume) and stir well. We need to achieve a gruel consistency.
  • 2. We take a soft sponge, put some of the obtained product on it and process the inner surface of the bath. To make the effect more significant, it is better to wet the bath beforehand. Leave the soda for 5-6 minutes.
  • 3. At this time, take a small bowl, pour water into it and add citric acid. With this solution we wash off the soda from the walls of the bath.

I am sure that you will be delighted with the result obtained! Soda and citric acid help remove even stubborn dirt.
