Good afternoon, my reader. A country stove is a must-have device for wintering outside the city. However, in addition to heating, the stove creates a good environment and performs decorative functions.

Of course, the days of Russian stoves are long gone, and today it is much more convenient to use ready-made metal. We will talk about their varieties further.
Choosing a stove for a summer residence
First, let's define the selection criteria. What to look for when choosing a stove.
- Room area. This point directly affects the size and power of the oven. If your dacha is a small room with an extension, then an ordinary potbelly stove will be enough. If there are more square meters, then the Butakov or Buleryan stove will do.
- Frequency of operation. If you do not spend the winter in the country, and you only need warmth during cold autumn days, then it is much better to choose an infrared heater or an oil radiator. For a more thorough living, of course, a metal stove is better suited.
- Foundation. A solid stove will require the construction of a foundation. For metal, it is enough to prepare a fireproof place in the corner of the room.
- Room condition. It is better if your dacha is thoroughly insulated. In this case, heat loss will be minimized. Potbelly stoves quickly heat up the air, but also cool down quickly, but Butakov's oven is designed for long-term use.
- Aesthetics. When choosing a stove, you should rely on practical benefits. However, if you have a weakness for room design, then you can pick up an interesting option for any of the stoves presented below.
Metal stove for summer cottages
If you have a small cottage that you don't sleep in, small metal stoves are a great option for you. They quickly heat up and give off heat, although they require constant fire support.
Potbelly stove
Perhaps the most famous stove among the people, which is more than a hundred years old. Despite its venerable age, the potbelly stove does an excellent job with its heating functions, and it looks quite atmospheric.
The advantages of the potbelly stove include its small size and ease of maintenance. It is melted with wood chips and wood, quickly giving off heat to the surrounding air.
But the disadvantages of this oven include its gluttony. You will have to constantly monitor the fire so that the stove does not simply go out. And the fire safety of the potbelly stove is very conditional.
Buleryan stove
A very popular furnace model in recent years, which is a barrel laid on its side with pipes welded along the edges. Thanks to this design, the effect of air convection is created, which contributes to the rapid and efficient heating of the room. In addition, the heat from the Buleryan stove remains much longer than from the stove.
The advantages include not very high fuel consumption, long heat release and quick initial heating. The disadvantage of this oven is, of course, its high cost.
Stove Butakov
Professor Butakov's stove resembles the previous version, but the convection pipes are hidden by a special casing, and they are located at a different angle.
The advantages of the Butakov furnace are similar to those of the Buleryan furnace. Fast warm-up, long heat dissipation and economical fuel consumption. The disadvantage is the even higher cost, as well as the time it takes to get used to the features of this device.
