"The miser pays twice" They put up a cheap window. I show what the savings have led (icing, mold, heat loss).

Hello friends. I am glad to welcome you to this author's channel Timofey Mikhailov. All that I will tell you below is the real and deplorable experience of building my parents. Therefore, read to the end. Learn from other people's mistakes.

Sometimes the savings are justified. Especially when you are based on a simple salary. But sometimes you shouldn't be too thrifty about money where it is important to keep warm.

"The miser pays twice" They put up a cheap window. I show what the savings have led (icing, mold, heat loss).

At the stage of installing windows, my parents did not have enough money for all the double-glazed windows. They decided to save money on the number of cameras. Instead of two cameras, we decided to put one camera (two glasses, one air gap).

By the way, we have winters with frost down to minus 35. Therefore, this step was wrong. Below I will show a photo of what this led to. Also, the father and brother carried out the installation of windows independently. Neither have the skills nor complete information. And that led to the blowing between the frame and the windowsill ...

Naturally, single-chamber windows are of greater importance in terms of heat loss. Therefore, it "gives" more cold. And this leads to icing:

You see a piece of ice in the corners. Constant dampness contributes to the formation of mold. In addition, the heat losses are probably high.

We conclude:We take a high-quality profile and a double-glazed window. We do not save on installation and quality materials.

And may reasonable economy and quality materials be with us! See you friends! Happy New Year!
