I am "lucky" in life, and all sorts of unpleasant moments happen to me very often. But I have already come to terms with this and even learned to adapt to the situation. For example, while trying to drill a wall, I came across an iron reinforcement with a drill. It seems like a trifle, but still unpleasant. But I found a way out! If a similar problem happened to you, then I want to share a little tricks that helped me out.
Initially, I decided that I would just make a similar hole side by side. But then I thought that after this it would look like my wall was gnawed by mice. Since the appearance of the wall is of great importance in my case, I started looking for other options.
Of course, you can show assertiveness and determination, trying to drill through iron bars. But not everyone has the strength to do it, even if armed with a chisel. Self-confident people can of course try. Please, who will be able to immediately make a hole in the fittings, write in the comments!
After some thought, an easy way came to my mind. In fact, it has proven to be very effective. Therefore, I hasten to share it with you.
So, if the drill of the perforator rested against the reinforcement, you need to put the tool aside for a while. Then you should prepare the hole for further manipulations: clean it of construction dust, wall fragments and any debris. Next, you should wet the hole from the inside with a syringe (or in some other convenient way).
After that, you need to take the chuck from the shanks. The ideal option is to have a second drill. If there is only one tool, then install the chuck in it. Take a drill for metal of the appropriate diameter. With the drill turned on at low power (no impact), drill a hole in the iron bar. I recommend that you regularly remove the drill from the fitting and cool it down, otherwise it may overheat.
When finished with the hole, remove the drill bit and install the drill. You can continue to drill the wall, now nothing will bother you.
That's all the wisdom! If you want to simplify your life even more, buy a special drill for concrete and iron. True, the price tag is far from small.
