The benefits and potential harm of acetylsalicylic acid for tomatoes

Aspirin is used at different stages of the growing season of nightshade crops for a specific purpose:

  • Half of the tablet, crushed to a state of powder, is diluted until completely dissolved in 1 liter of water settled at room conditions. This solution is used to soak tomato seeds for 3-4 hours just before sowing. This accelerates the emergence of strong viable seedlings.
  • Rub an aspirin tablet and dissolve the resulting powder, stirring until all the grains disappear, in 5 liters of settled water. This solution is used for irrigation of seedlings at intervals of 2 weeks. This procedure serves to prevent the appearance of pests, prevents the development of diseases, heals and strengthens plants.
  • The drug will help in organizing the fight against fungal microorganisms. For this purpose, combine 3 crushed aspirin tablets with 15 g of grated alkaline soap and 10 g of baking soda. Dissolve the mixture in 1 L of water. The resulting composition is irrigated with tomato plantings for 3 weeks, observing a two-day interval between procedures. For powdery mildew, treatment with a similar solution is practiced every 6-7 days.
