Yesterday ended my epic with the simultaneous installation of six crowns on the teeth.
I begged a bunch of different hogs from the dentist. :)
It's time to replace the metal crowns that were installed 25-30 years ago. Some of them are rotten through and through (it turns out that even the metal in the mouth does not last forever). Now the crowns are made of metal-ceramic, but I did them all at the same wonderful doctor as a quarter of a century ago.
Human teeth - the material is quite hard, it even happens that several burs are needed for one tooth from the dentist (they grind off and cease to be sharp enough). Blunt burs are usually just thrown away, but they are great for plastics and soft metals. I don't know how things are in large clinics, but my dentist, at my request, picked up and presented me with a whole collection of 39 different burs.
It is possible that if you visit the dentist and ask him to share the used burs, he will also not refuse.
