Today I want to share with you a simple and budget way of how to make acrylic paint of any color and in any quantity with your own hands.
We do not use artistic acrylic paints, as we paint very often and a lot, and it will be quite expensive. But homemade paint always helps out and prepares in 1 minute.
Here's what you need:
· Water-based construction acrylic varnish;
· Universal colors of different colors;
So, the varnish will do, both matte and glossy. The thicker the varnish, the better. The country of origin and the company do not matter much. We buy varnish in a hardware store in 1-2 kilogram buckets. 1 kg worth 200-250 rubles, depending on the store.
We take the cheapest colors, at 50 rubles per bottle. I also tried expensive ones, but did not notice any huge difference. The color is added to the varnish in a small amount, so that 1 bottle is enough for a long time. Taking several colors, you can combine them and get others.
Step 1.
Pour the varnish into any container that is convenient for you.
Step 2.
Add a few drops of the desired color and mix thoroughly.
Leave for half a minute and stir again. While stirring, collect the varnish from the sides of the dishes so as not to leave unmixed places.
Step 3.
The paint is ready to use. For clarity, I painted a piece of drywall with several colors.
Dark colors paint the surface well the first time, especially if the varnish is thick. But light colors need to be applied 2 or even 3 layers.
Basically all colors, after drying, become darker and more saturated.
Using black varnish, you can make a rich black color.
Do not try to make black paint by adding color to white acrylic paint, you will not succeed, checked!
Brushes and utensils after acrylic varnish can be easily washed in water, the most important thing is to wash immediately after work and do not let dry. Otherwise, a film will form, which is rather difficult to wash.
