- Tomatoes. Mice don't like the scent of tomato tops. The juicy stems are chopped into small pieces and scattered into the trunk circles. It is convenient to protect young bushes and trees in this way.
- Burdock. In burdock, spherical inflorescences are covered with thorns, which easily attach to the hair of rodents. This scares them off, so gardeners protect the ripening crop with the stems of thorny thistles.
- Pharmaceutical camomile. If this plant appears in the garden as a weed, it is worth leaving it when weeding. The characteristic smell makes you leave the place where the pharmacy chamomile grows. Fragrant bunches are laid out in the barn, in the garden house, between plantings.
- The sequence is three-part. It's not just the pungent smell that repels mice. This plant has rough leaves, which rustle strongly when in contact with the body of the rodent. This forces him to run away from the dangerous place.
- Blackroot medicinal. There are other characteristic names for this poisonous herb with an unpleasant odor, for example, mouse spirit, rat rat race. Rodents are frightened not only by the aroma, but also by the thorny seeds clinging to the wool.
Poisonous plant baits
Many grasses that are unpleasant for rodents contain toxic compounds, which makes it possible to prepare baits that are harmful to mice. Bait options that distribute the mixture in areas where rodents live:
- Combine 20 g of crocus seeds with 1 kg of cereals.
- Mix 5 g of crushed crow's eye rhizome (paris) with sunflower seeds, which take 100 g.
- A mixture is made from 50 g of ground tuberous roots of aconite (fighter) with the addition of 1 kg of cereal.
- Vegetable oil is poured into a small container (take an unrefined variety). With stirring, pour in the crushed grains of castor oil plant until a mass resembling sour cream is obtained.
