One of the main advantages of the Decembrist is the flowering period. While other plants are dormant, Schlumberger pleases with pink, white or red exotic flowers. True, this is not always the case. Sometimes the buds fall off without even having time to open. This phenomenon can be both single and massive. In order to find the cause, you need to study the growing conditions of the flower. In most cases, the problem lies in an unsuitable microclimate or improper care.

I propose to consider the main reasons for the dropping of buds and flowers in the Decembrist. The four most popular mistakes are on my list.

Reason # 1

Falling buds and flowers are often due to the fact that the Decembrist was disturbed. From the moment the ovaries are formed, the plant cannot be moved or rearranged. It is not recommended to change the side facing the light. Even minor changes in light and temperature can lead to loss of buds. You need to take care of the suitable location of the Decembrist in advance. Also consider rearranging objects next to the plant. They can obscure or impair air exchange.

Reason # 2

The Decembrist has a negative attitude towards any temperature changes. Even turning on the centralized heating batteries can lead to the dropping of buds and flowers. To maintain a plant-friendly temperature between 18 and 23 ° C, it is advisable to purchase a thermometer and move the pot away from windows and heat sources.

Remember that refrigerators, televisions and other household appliances generate heat during operation. Do not put the Decembrist next to their radiators.

Reason # 3

Despite the fact that the Decembrist is considered an unpretentious plant, at the time of ovary and flowering, it needs regular watering. It should be carried out at the time of partial drying of the soil. Lack of moisture can cause massive dropping of buds and flowers. It is important to ensure that the earthen ball never dries out completely.

Reason # 4

The flowering period of Schlumberger coincides with the active operation of heating devices. Heaters dry the air a lot, making growing conditions truly extreme. Remember to turn on a humidifier or spray regularly to maintain proper humidity levels.
