Often, the design of the bedroom is thought out less scrupulously than the design of the living room or kitchen. As a rule, preference is given to pastel colors and unremarkable details.

However, the solution to this issue can be approached in a different way. How to diversify the bedroom and make it more interesting, the designer said Asia Orlova.

7. Pendant lights

Pendant lights can be a good alternative to reading lamps on bedside tables. With their help, you can free up space for books, and they look incomparably more expressive than standard sconces at the head of the bed.

Such a solution will require preparation - it is important to think over the output of the wires at the planning stage.

In addition, for ease of use, it is better to provide switches in advance that you can reach without getting out of bed.

6. Deep colors in the finish

Do not be afraid to use rich colors in the decoration of the bedroom. They will add depth to the room and make the interior more expressive. Dark walls look much more effective than the standard beige design. Psychologists note that dark blue and dark green in the bedroom can even have a calming effect.

However, if the room is very small, then there is a risk of making mistakes and distorting the space.

If there is a desire to use a dark, saturated color to decorate a bedroom, it is better to make the whole room in it. Without the help of a specialist, it is difficult to correctly use such a powerful color, but the result is spectacular.

5. Wall decoration behind the headboard

If your bedroom lacks flavor, take care of the wall decoration behind the headboard. Often it is decorated with soft panels - they create an atmosphere of comfort and at the same time contribute to the variety of textures.

Also, gypsum or wood panels are often used.

They can be extended up to the ceiling or up to adjacent walls, as well as on adjacent planes. Also, false frescoes have recently become widespread in decorating the bed area.

4. Backlight

In general, for a bedroom, you need to have 2-3 options for a light scenario: bright, muted and individual. Dimmed lighting can help relieve stress after a hard day's work and tune in to sleep. The backlight can easily cope with this task.

It can be brought behind the curtain rod, hidden in recesses between wooden slats, or put into a niche under the ceiling.

The best effect is achieved by warm yellow light - light "temperature" 3000 K.

3. "Floating" furniture

Since we visually read the area of the room by the floor, "floating" furniture will visually increase the space. You can make a suspended bed or, for example, bedside tables.

In the case of the bed, the "floating" effect can also be achieved with the help of a special design, which provides for fixing the headboard to the wall and a small support, it will be invisible from the position of a human growth.

Some manufacturers have taken care of their potential customers and offer ready-made solutions of a similar design.

2. Bedside bench or pouf

A bench at the foot of the bed can be a pretty functional solution. It is convenient to fold decorative bedspreads or pillows on it before going to bed.

A pouf with a hinged lid can provide additional storage space.

If the room is small, you can purchase a pair of small poufs that can be easily moved if necessary.

1. Shelving ladder

Such a piece of furniture can be indispensable for owners of small bedrooms. The rack ladder is easy to use and does not take up much space.

You can hang clothes or a bedspread on it, and, complete with hanging baskets, can also be used as a bedside table.
