It is good when it is possible to use reusable preservation lids. However, it is far from always possible to acquire such. Primarily due to the fact that they are significantly more expensive than conventional disposable tin lids. And therefore, many owners will absolutely not be superfluous to find out a proven way to create homemade reusable lids from disposable ones.
The main problem with preservation caps is that the lacquer coating on the inside is damaged at the moment of opening. This in turn leads to the subsequent appearance of rust. Obviously, reusing these covers is not a good idea. However, there is one proven method that will allow you to neutralize the negative consequences.
Conservation is a rather troublesome process. First of all, we sterilize the jars and lids by placing them in a bowl, filling them with water and sending them to the fire. Next, you need to take parchment paper - this does not allow fat and water to pass through. It is advisable to find paper with silicone impregnation, because in this case it will be even more reliable and durable.

Using paper scissors, you need to cut circles with a diameter of 3-4 centimeters larger than the neck of the can. We make circles under each jar, after which we fill the sterilized vessels with fruits and vegetables for conservation. When one can is full, with the help of tweezers we take a circle cut out of paper and lower it for a few seconds in boiling water, after which we cover the neck of the can with it. And only after that we put on and tighten the lid. This will protect it from damage to the coating.
