Do you love indoor plants? If so, then this article will be of interest to you. In it, I will show you how to make a stylish flower pot from a plastic bucket with your own hands in a couple of hours.
For work you will need:
1. Plastic bucket;
2. Glossy magazine;
3. Bituminous varnish (or shoe polish);
4. Hot glue and PVA glue;
5. Openwork ribbon (optional);
6. Solvent 646;
7. Acrylic lacquer.
Bituminous varnish is sold in any hardware store. But, if you can't find it, you can replace it with brown shoe polish.
Step 1.
By preparing the bucket. We remove the labels, if any, clean them with sandpaper and wipe them with solvent, alcohol or nail polish remover.
Step 2.
We take a glossy magazine, tear out several pages and tear them into small pieces, trying not to leave even edges. We glue the pieces onto a bucket with PVA glue and leave to dry for 1-2 hours.
Step 3.
When the pieces of the magazine are stuck, we take a solvent, moisten a cloth with it and begin to rub.
The paint from the magazine starts to smudge and a stone-like texture is obtained.
Step 4.
The time has come for bituminous varnish. Pour it onto a rag and cover the paper. We rub in well and immediately, until the varnish has dried, remove the excess with a dry cloth.
If there is no bitumen varnish, you can also use shoe polish, the effect will be almost the same. We leave the varnish to dry.
Step 5.
We glue an openwork ribbon.
You can also glue some ribbon flower or a suitable decor.
Step 6.
At the end, we cover it with acrylic varnish.
