Any engine can potentially be used to create a makeshift machine. Most often, installations from washing machines fall into the hands of the owners. True, there is one problem: as a rule, they are not powerful enough and resourceful enough for the subsequent creation of machine tools. Therefore, you first have to do something in order to raise the power output of the power unit and its speed.
What you need: speed regulator, sheet steel, grinder gearbox, nuts and bolts, blank for the coupling
So, before you start to do anything with the washing machine engine, you need to dismantle it from its structure. Immediately after this, a pulley is removed, from which an adapter coupling will subsequently be made, which on one side will have a shaft, and on the other must have an M14 thread.
Grinding the sleeve will require access to the lathe. If this is not possible in principle, then you can cut the thread on the workpiece to half and then screw it onto the grinder. Next, the blank is turned on a sanding belt and drilled from the free end.
Next, you need to remove the gearbox from the old and unnecessary grinder. It is cut in half so that the input shaft is free. Next, a sheet of steel is taken, and a sole is made from it under the engine of a washing machine. The unit is fixed, preferably using welding. With the help of the coupling, the shaft removed from the grinder is connected to the unit.

An adapter plate is made of sheet steel for fastening the gearbox. Next, the engine is connected through the speed controller. The construction is ready. Now, when starting, the shaft will spin much faster, making 3 times more revolutions. If you connect the gearbox to the installation on the contrary, then the speed will drop, but the engine power will increase by 3 times.
