Recently friends turned to me for advice, they were offered a summer cottage plot, very cheap, in a "good" place, but under a high-voltage power line (PTL). Naturally, I know many of the nuances of owning such a "hacienda". In addition, the local electrician told some information.
My summer cottage, according to the cadastral map, is 20% per cent included in the protection zone of the overhead line, it is forbidden to install capital buildings on this territory. Accordingly, under the power transmission line itself, the construction of an object is a dubious occupation.
But since the mid-80s in the USSR, any piece of land, even under the wires, was a gorgeous offer. Therefore, no one thought about it, they took land and built. Accordingly, there are now a large number of such plots and are sold very cheaply.
Why are suburban areas under power lines cheap?
- Constant exposure to electric fields, electric shocks from grass, plants, cars and buildings. Not fatal, but not pleasant. Naturally, long-term processing (digging, watering, planting) of the earth will not bring pleasure.
- Finding children under high-voltage wires is not possible. Therefore, a full-fledged summer vacation is canceled.
- Roofs and walls of structures must be grounded at least at two points in order to "electrons fled into the ground"rather than accumulating on the surface. And they did not cause strong discharges and fires.
- Even if you turn off the power in the country house, there may be induced electricity in the network. The local electrician is already "bakhalo" when repairing the wiring
- Working with gasoline, refueling trimers, generators and other equipment under power lines and in the security zone is prohibited, there is a high probability of ignition.
- If an emergency situation has arisen on the line and the emergency brigade needs to call into your summer cottage with special equipment, then they will do it. And even, if necessary, the buildings will be demolished.
- And lastly, the impact of hard electromagnetic radiation under an overhead line on a person has not been fully studied, but the fact that it does not extend life is 100%
On his own land, as you remember, he enters the security zone a little with me, I don't feel any discomfort. Therefore, if you take the ground, then away from high-voltage wires.
And the site directly under the power line is of little value if it is not located on the Black Sea coast :-). Such land is not recommended for purchase. No neighbors, no electrician. Not your author.
